Install the app
Add Jewish But Not Jewish to your phone or tablet so it opens like a real app: full screen, no browser bars, one tap from your home screen. It works on iPhone, iPad, Android, and any modern desktop. It's the same site, just installable.
Why install
It opens faster. The pages you've already read still load when you're offline (on a plane, on the subway, in a waiting room). And the icon on your home screen is a small reminder that the path is here when you're ready.
On iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open this site in Safari (not Chrome or Firefox; only Safari can install web apps on iOS).
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down in the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".
- Tap "Add" in the top right. The icon will appear on your home screen.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open this site in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
- Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
- Confirm. The icon will appear in your app drawer and on your home screen.
On desktop (Chrome, Edge, Brave)
- Open this site.
- Look for the small install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow).
- Click it and confirm. The app will open in its own window from then on.
What changes when you install
Nothing about how we treat your data changes. The same encryption, the same no-tracking promise, the same warm tone. Installing just means the site lives on your home screen and opens without browser chrome around it. You can delete the icon any time and nothing on your account is affected.
